Real Club Valderrama itself is included of course alongside , La Reserva and Real Club Sotogrande and Finca Cortesin. We can add a wide choice of accommodation to this golf tour based on your precise requirements.

The Real Club Valderrama is one of the best known golf clubs in Europe It is located in the resort of Sotogrande, San Roque in the Andalusia region of southern Spain, a few miles from Gibraltar, and has a single 18-hole course, along with a 9-hole par 3 course. Valderrama was constructed in 1974 as “Sotogrande New,” to the designs of leading American golf course architect Robert Trent Jones. Renamed The golf course was redesigned and expanded by the original architect and became “Valderrama.” By 1999, Valderrama was rated the top course in mainland Europe by Golf World magazine. The practice ground was called the best in Europe by Nick Faldo. The fourth hole, La Cascada, is the course’s signature hole. It is a par 5 with a pond to the right of the two-tiered green.

Please note a mandatory forecaddie is required – a Euro60 gratuity is payable locally. Buggies are included at all courses.

Carved into the hillside with stunning vistas down to the Mediterranean Sea and up to the Andalusian hills, La Reserva’s 18-hole championship course was designed by acclaimed golf course architect Cabell B. Robinson. Opened in 2003, with wide, sweeping fairways that lead on to large greens, gentle but challenging undulations, and a birds’ nest location high up on the escarpment, it has fast become a must-play for any golfer visiting southern Spain – and a fitting next chapter in Sotogrande’s proud golfing legacy. La Reserva Club is ranked in the top 9 golf courses in Spain by the Golf World Magazine.

The course Real Club de Golf Sotogrande is considered as one of the masterpieces of Robert Trent Jones who chose this course as one of his five favorites from more than 500 courses he designed worldwide according to what he wrote in his book GOLF – THE MANIFICIENT CHALLENGE – published in 1988. Officially opened in 1964 Sotogrande was the first course Trent Jones designed in Europe and is blessed with his design philosophy, which consists of building courses perfectly integrated with the natural surroundings which are a great challenge to the better players, but accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

The course has a par of 72 and measures 6.492 metres. It offers long tees, wide fairways and elevated greens delicately moulded and very fast, which embody the biggest difficulty of the course. Of the 100 or so bunkers on the course 69 are placed around the greens which, warn the player to have great accuracy when attacking the pins. The variety of holes is another characteristic of Real Club de Golf Sotogrande, variety not only in shape and distances but in its vegetation: the mixture of cork oaks, pine trees, palm trees and an abundance of other species, provide the course with a wonderful personality and beauty.

Finca Cortesin is globally renowned for providing one of Europe’s most unforgettable golf experiences. Rated among Spain’s best golf courses, including by the prestigious Golf Digest magazine, the harmonious relationship between the natural Mediterranean landscape and environment on the resort’s world-class 18-hole championship course make for a most attractive design, while the excellent weather we enjoy all year round provides the perfect setting for playing golf. Finca Cortesin has hosted numerous high-profile events including the Volvo World Match Play Championship on three occasions, one of the world’s most prestigious professional golf tournaments and ranked in the top 5 golf courses in Spain by the Golf World Magazine.

Normally we would include San Roque Old course in our Spain’s Finest Collection but it will be closed during 2020 for refurbishment. San Roque New can be added to the itinerary if required – please request pricing
